Sustainability

As an ISO 14001-accredited design and construction company, we assess the environmental impact of all materials and products we specify and use on our projects. Our processes are designed to minimise waste and reduce environmental impact across every stage of specification and project delivery. Currently, over 99% of our site waste is recycled, with less than 1% sent to landfill.

Our approach focuses on delivering the most energy-efficient fit-outs that are possible within the constraints of the host building selected by our client. We are confident this will align with your own long-term sustainability and ESG objectives.

Working within the constraints of existing building systems, Cityspace investigates opportunities to improve energy performance and reduce running costs over time. This might include upgrading to low-energy lighting, improving insulation, efficient heat recovery systems for fresh air, or the specification of inverter VRF systems for cooling. The products and furniture we specify are all sourced sustainably. We are able to share with your management teams a measured environmental report on your completed project. Through this approach, we have delivered improved results from aged commercial premises to the highest rated BREEAM building. We can show you projects where we significantly improved the EPC ratings of old and new buildings through intelligent sustainable solutions.

We identify furniture and equipment items that can be reused, refurbished or repurposed, helping to reduce unnecessary waste. This could be as simple as re-upholstering seating or refinishing metal elements to give them a new lease of life. Where new furniture is required, we prioritise products made from renewable or recycled materials. All key suppliers are ISO 14001.

We hope you will agree that this approach supports your wider environmental commitments without compromising on design or functionality.
