Acoustics
Cityspace’s in-house designers are experienced in finding the right acoustic solutions for our clients. The majority of our fitouts require some input from our dedicated acoustician to ensure the working environment can meet these complex requirements. The office acoustic solutions tend to fall into two design elements, meeting room reverberation and privacy, and the avoidance of open plan noise disruption.

Meeting rooms
The avoidance of noise transfer between rooms is a critical design issue we address on every project. Our designers specify the most suitable products for office wall construction, be they solid or glass. The use of acoustic barriers in ceilings, floors and wall voids, solid core doors and acoustic treatments to ductwork, all contribute to our designs delivering an elevated level of confidentiality for both your offices and meeting spaces.
Reverberation within rooms can badly disrupt your video conference calls and, in some cases, make voices inaudible. Our designs start with acoustic calculations on the host building. We address acoustics in the initial stages of our design process using a combination of sound-absorbing materials, the disruption of sound paths and the audio-visual products specified.
Open Plan
Open plan noise disruption has increased given the rise of hybrid working. With the widespread adoption of Teams and Google video calls, there has been an increase in the difficulties of the office worker to conduct focused tasks. Our design teams have many creative ways to address these issues using white noise, furniture pods, specification, and siting of collaborative furniture. We are confident we can deliver open plan environments to provide spaces for focused work to be undertaken.
